About Me
01.17
My name is John Mudd and I love pickles. I have no professional pickle experience. I’m simply a man with a dream. A dream to document every pickle I eat for the next year (possibly longer), and to spread my experiences to everyone that wishes to read about them. As a recent graduate of Salisbury University, I decided to do the most logical thing I can think of. I bought a website with the intention of fulfilling this dream. Anybody that knows me realizes that my love for pickles transcends the social norms and borders on obsession. Pickles are more than just a delicacy to me. Instead, pickles act as a mood enhancer and allow me to relax and forget about whatever may be troubling me at any given time. That being said, there is one detail that I feel I must point out…
I do not, cannot, and will not eat gherkins or bread and butter chips. I feel that gherkins and bread and butter chips are the ugly redheaded stepchildren of the Pickle regime (with absolutely no offense to gingers). These two variations of “pickles” taste awful and contribute nothing to the reputation of an otherwise delicious snack. Gherkins or Bread and Butter Chips will no longer be referenced anywhere on this website. Period.
“A pickle, like life, is just as good or as bad as you make it.” While my motto may seem slightly misleading at first, I think it becomes clear that pickles and life are very similar. Understanding that even a bad pickle is still a pickle relates to my own existence. Even though things might get really bad, they could always be worse. I think about this every time I bite into a pickle, and I would like those who read this to do the same.
With a little bit of your help, I think this can become a great website for years to come. Thanks for stopping by and checking out John Mudd Loves Pickles. Happy pickling to you!
Please contact me if you have any information or recommendations about pickle brands, events, stores, etc.

It really irritates me johnmuddlovespickles would say that red haired people don’t have souls, ok?
I dont recall seeing that anywhere, Mr Breton.
“Gherkins or Bread and Butter Chips will no longer be referenced anywhere on this website. Period.”
And that is how it should be. (Ughhh, bread & butter “pickles.” Ugh.)
John, I believe you need to include a picture of yourself somewhere on the site. Is it already posted somewhere? Supplemental question, Is it possible you are afraid you will lose followers if your picture is posted? I just think the man behind the pickle should be revealed. and if pickles relax you, I think you should have about 10 every time we play NHL ’09.
Good idea, Brad. The update has been made. I will be doing some more pickle action shots in the future so be on the lookout for that. Thanks for the suggestion!
Much, Much better. Makes me smile.
John! I had no idea about this site but you should have included it in our break-out group at training haha!! this quite a gem, I’d have used it in Info Gather
Hey! Thanks for taking a look. I’ve had so many different reactions to this crazy endeavor, I wasn’t sure how well it would be received. I’ll be updating the site over the next two days so keep checking back. Glad to hear from you!
