Here are a list of pickle manufacturers that I’ve found are pretty solid.

Claussen - This is the pickle that started it all.  Without Claussen pickles, I wouldn’t have grown into the pickle connoisseur that i consider myself.  Whether its the smooth flavor or the cold, crispy crunch, there are a variety of characteristics that attributes to this well designed pickle.  This is the perfect beginner pickle since it has a lot of flavor without being overly sour.  Bite into one today and you’ll understand just how easy it is to enter the world of pickles.

Mt. Olive - These pickles have a distinctive taste that is completely unique in the world of pickles.  It walks the fine line between smooth and sour, certain to appease everybody regardless of prior pickle experience.  They even have portable “PicklePaks” available!  Grab a jar and try one yourself.

Vlasic - Everything about Vlasic pickles are distinctive.  The robust taste, the extreme color, the hysterical mascot… Vlasic is a triple threat.  Some people criticize this pickle for it’s excessive acidity, but I find this sourness necessary to challenge one’s self and truly enjoy all that this pickle has to offer.  Vlasic’s are definitely for the bold pickler in you.  See if you can handle it.

Van Holten - The pickle in the pouch has grown to become a staple in the realm of pickles.  There are a ton of different varieties, guaranteed to satisfy anybody.  Whether it’s spicy, zesty, sweet, or sour, these pickles have a flavor that is ridiculously satisfying.

Wawa - Wawa may not be a big name in the pickle world, but they should be.  The pickles that they put on their subs and sandwiches have a full, rich flavor without being overpowering, adding to the wawa experience rather than detracting from it.  Next time you get a shorti or classic sub, I highly recommend adding pickles.  You won’t be sorry.

Wow John. I had no idea of your intense love for pickles. Although that could be due to the fact that I haven’t seen you since high school. I’m not a huge fan of pickles myself, but I love the little sweet ones.
